Michael Gilbert*, PsyD, is founder/director of It’s About Childhood & Family, Inc., a not-for-profit organization. Dr. Gilbert has worked for 20 years in the mental health field, including in psychiatric hospital, foster care, group homes, and school setting. Dr. Gilbert has presented to parents and professionals throughout Central New York as well as at state and national conferences.
*Wendy West Pidkaminy, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified School Social Worker in the state of New York. Wendy has over 15 combined years experience working with non-profit organizations, government agencies, school districts, universities, and in private practice, bringing transformation, vision, and healing to countless individuals and families.
*Katherine Teasdale-Edwards, MS, NCC, has been working with children and families for 11 years within residential treatment, foster care system, and the Syracuse City School District. Katherine has extensive knowledge with in the special education transition process for students moving from the secondary school setting to the world beyond.
*Andy Palumbo, MS, is a certified elementary teacher and has taught for the past 16 years. Andy has been a primary level teacher since 1992, working with kindergarten, first and second graders. He was trained in The Nurtured Heart Approach in the summer of 2008 and enjoys fostering greatness in children and adults.
Jessica Sicherman, PsyD, is a Licensed Psychologist who has been working with children and families for over 16 years, including private practice for the past 9 years. In addition, Dr. Sicherman has worked in a psychiatric hospital, school setting, and developmental evaluation center.
